Mr. Harper joined EHS-Alaska in May 2009. He brought to EHS-Alaska his experience in engineering design and construction management. As a project manager for the Eklutna Estates Apartment Complex project, Mr. Harper designed the storm water controls and water and sewer services and coordinated the design of site grading, building layout and elevation.
As a Design Engineer with EHS-Alaska, Mr. Harper is responsible for conducting HazMat surveys and providing hazardous building materials abatement design contract documents. His proficiency in AutoCAD allows him to assist the CAD staff in the development of bid documents. He recently completed the HazMat design for a 300 unit military demolition project. The project required representative sampling so that an estimate of the expected total hazmat portion of the waste stream could be calculated.
For the Elmendorf AFB Band of the Pacific Building Renovation Project, Mr. Harper conducted the HazMat survey of the facility and produced design documents including contract specifications and design drawings. He also recently worked with the Mat-Su Borough in conducting pre-demolition surveys and reports of six residential homes for an upcoming road expansion project.
Mr. Harper provides on-site and in-house construction services to clients. He provided monitoring of abatement activities during the Alaska Command (ALCOM) renovation project at Elmendorf AFB. At the end of abatement activities Mr. Harper reviews closeout documents and prepared the necessary reports to satisfy contract and regulatory requirements.
